I had the chance to work with him a little on the education initiatives and would seek his advice, which he gave it candidly.  And he always fought for his beliefs, especially for public education.  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;People say to me, `Dillard, are you a liberal?&#8217; Sometimes they ask, `You a moderate?&#8217; and others say `Are you a conservative?'&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesdispatch.com\/servlet\/Satellite?pagename=RTD%2FMGArticle%2FRTD_BasicArticle&#038;c=MGArticle&#038;cid=1031781223633&#038;path=%21news%21vaapwire&#038;s=1045855935241\">Dillard said<\/a>. &#8220;I say I&#8217;m not really any of those.
