He presents a plan to overhaul the medical industry and offers a plan that he says costs X.  He twists arms, cajoles, turns on the charm, and finally, after an extraordinary eleventh hour battle on the House floor, gets it passed.<\/p>\n<p>But wait, a few weeks later, Bill admits the price is X plus 50%.  A low level bureaucrat goes public that he had the right figure all along, but the administration put pressure on him to conceal the information.<\/p>\n<p>A marginally Democratic Congress refuses to investigate so the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service does and finds Bill\u2019s administration might have broken the law.<\/p>\n<p>My guess is Tom Delay would yell liar and call for impeachment.<\/p>\n<p>This wasn\u2019t very cleaver. You know who we\u2019re talking about.  He\u2019s caught lying again and this time, it\u2019s not only immoral, duplicitous, and business as usual at the Dubya White House, it\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/story.news.yahoo.com\/news?tmpl=story&#038;cid=536&#038;e=3&#038;u=\/ap\/20040503\/ap_on_go_co\/medicare_cost\">illegal<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Bush\" src=\"http:\/\/commonwealthcommonsense.typepad.com\/commonwealthcommonsense\/images\/Bush.jpg\" width=\"410\" height=\"284\" border=\"0\"  \/><br \/>\nPresident Bush speaking, probably lying<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Picture if you will, a sitting president, say one named Bill.
