{"id":130,"date":"2010-04-02T16:49:12","date_gmt":"2010-04-02T20:49:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/000af36.netsolhost.com\/wordpress1\/2010\/04\/02\/liberals-letting-facts-get-in-the-way\/"},"modified":"2010-04-02T16:49:12","modified_gmt":"2010-04-02T20:49:12","slug":"liberals-letting-facts-get-in-the-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/griendling.com\/wordpress1\/2010\/04\/02\/liberals-letting-facts-get-in-the-way\/","title":{"rendered":"Liberals:  Letting Facts Get in the Way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As certainly we all can agree by now, conservatives don\u2019t let facts get in the way of a pithy political argument.&#160; However, liberals are so literal.&#160; To wit:<\/p>\n<p>Matt Yglesias, one of the best bloggers out there, succeeds by being prolific and succinct.&#160; But <a href=\"http:\/\/yglesias.thinkprogress.org\/archives\/2010\/04\/bus-allocation.php\" target=\"_blank\">this post<\/a> illustrates in a way I\u2019m sure he didn\u2019t intend why liberals can\u2019t make a political argument.&#160; First, of course, as was said on a recent episode of \u201cThe Good Wife\u201d about a judge, \u201cLiberals love to compromise.\u201d&#160; Or, as E.J.
