They\u2019re reminiscent of Ronald Reagan\u2019s excuse re Iran Contra:  Mistakes were made.  Newspapers rarely say \u201cwe\u201d made a mistake or editor or reporter so and so made a mistake.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/articles\/A29218-2004Jul30.html \">A letter<\/a> in Saturday\u2019s Washington Post highlights the absurdity of some corrections.  One correction, five possible interpretations of what was wrong and who made the mistake.  Was former diplomat Joe Wilson wrong or somebody else or The Post itself?
