Terrorist Refuses Teacher of the Year Award

The Massachusetts teacher of the year said no, thank you, to Secretary of Education Rod Paige. Jeff Ryan said he didn’t go to an event in Washington to accept the award because Paige called the national teacher’s union a “terrorist organization.” Ryan also said he boycotted the event to protest the No Child Left Behind Act, calling it a “stealth tactic by the Bush administration to undermine pubic schools.”
